A defence presentation should make it easy to understand the problem, method, evidence, findings and limitations of your own research. The review focuses on that narrative rather than providing a generic presentation script.

Presentation review

• What the audience must understand before the results make sense.
• Which tables, figures or findings deserve slide space and which belong in backup material.
• Where a claim needs clearer evidence or a limitation needs to be stated directly.
• How to keep methods sufficiently detailed without allowing them to dominate the presentation.

Question preparation

Practice should include questions about design choices, alternative explanations, limitations and the meaning of the findings. The objective is not to memorise answers, but to develop a reliable structure for explaining decisions and acknowledging uncertainty.
